About Fife, WA
Fife is a small suburb east of Tacoma contained within the Puyallup Indian Reservation, with a population of just over 10,000 locals, residing both in the Valley and the Fife Heights area. It houses a thriving business environment consisting of car dealerships, warehousing and industrial facilities. Fife was officially incorporated in 1957 but the origin of it’s name continues to be disputed to this day, either named for William J. Fife, a prominent Tacoma lawyer, prospector, and lieutenant colonel or possibly named after a county of Scotland and former Pictish kingdom called Fife. It’s rich history is housed inside the Fife History Museum and Train Display, located in the former home of Louis Dacca, a member of the original Fife City Council.
